متن کاملUsing an electrochemical nanobiosensor based on titanium carbide-carbon nanotubes polymeric nanocomposite for the epithelialovarian cancer early detection
Background & Aim: Ovarian cancer is the most lethal among female malignancies. So far, treatment improvements have affected patient survival, but it is still more important to provide an early diagnosis that can detect the disease in its early stages. Therefore, introducing a rapid, accurate, and low-cost method to disease detection can be important and necessary. Methods: This study introduce...
متن کاملEffect of molecular crowding on the response of an electrochemical DNA sensor.
E-DNA sensors, the electrochemical equivalent of molecular beacons, appear to be a promising means of detecting oligonucleotides. E-DNA sensors are comprised of a redox-modified (here, methylene blue or ferrocene) DNA stem-loop covalently attached to an interrogating electrode. Because E-DNA signaling arises due to binding-induced changes in the conformation of the stem-loop probe, it is likely...
متن کاملElectrochemical DNA detection via exonuclease and target-catalyzed transformation of surface-bound probes.
We report a single-step, single-reagent, label-free, isothermal electrochemical DNA sensor based on the phenomenon of target recycling. The sensor exploits strand-specific exonuclease activity to achieve the selective enzymatic digestion of target/probe duplexes. This results in a permanent change in the probe structure that yields an increased faradaic current and liberates the intact target m...

In situ hybridization (ISH) is a method that uses labeled complementary single strand DNA or RNA to localize specific DNA or RNA sequences in an intact cell or in a fixed tissue section. The main steps of ISH consist of: probe selection, tissue or sample preparation, pre-hybridization treatment, hybridization and washing, detection and control procedure. Probe selection is one of the important ...
